Personal information
Trevor Curzon Green, RNVR, survived the sinking of HMS Ark Royal on 13 November 1941. He had been serving aboard as Fulmar pilot for maybe two months and chipped a bone in his leg when he managed to swing into the hull somehow during abandonment by rope to a destroyer waiting alongside. He then took a home passage from Gibraltar to Liverpool aboard HMS Audacity and was rescued by the corvette HMS Marigold after this aircraft carrier was sunk on 21 December 1941.
