Personal information
Wife of Samuel Etter, a New York City restaurant proprietor, of Harrisburg, PA. She was on passage aboard City of New York together with her daughter Miriam, returning home from Luipaardsvlei, Transvaal, South Africa. They abandoned ship together in a lifeboat but it wasn’t located until 11 April 1942 and Sarah died just hours before the occupants were rescued.
