Civil Engineer, of Seaford, Sussex, en route from Glasgow to India aboard City of Nagpur. A month earlier he had been aboard Staffordshire which was bombed and damaged by a German aircraft on 28 March 1941. He eventually made it to Colombo aboard Ulysses later that year.
