Thomas Llewellyn Bradford and the chief officer Alfred Hodder were taken prisoner by U-48 after the sinking of Nailsea Lass, landed at St. Nazaire on 27 February 1941 and taken to the POW camp Marlag und Milag Nord (POW No. 88698).
