Personal information
Brother of Kiyoshi Mayehara, of Colbren, South Wales. Kanroku Murakami became a naturalized British subject in December 1938 and lived in Swansea. He had already served on British merchant ships during the First World War and was torpedoed once. His experienced his third sinking during the Second World War with the loss of Fort Concord and survived being 44 days adrift on a raft in the North Atlantic.
