Personal information

Son of Charles Franklin and Florence Burroughs, of Mitchell, Ontario. He joined the Perth Regiment as Gunner on 15 August 1940, but then enlisted in the RCN on 18 November 1940 and was assigned to HMCS Ottawa since 22 August 1941.
