Personal information
Thomas Murray joined HMS Dunvegan Castle as Ordinary Seaman, was promoted to Able Seaman on 20 April 1940 and survived the sinking of this ship in August 1940. He later served aboard HMS Woolston for which he was awarded the Arctic Star in July 2013 as the destroyer escorted the convoy PQ-12 from Iceland to Murmansk.
