Personal information
Son of Charlotte Stone, of Samsonville, Nova Scotia. Daniel Ralph Stone was very anxious to join the war effort and made himself older than he was when joining the Merchant Navy after being turned away by the other branches of the service due to his young age. He died just a few weeks short of reaching his 17th birthday.
