Personal information
Sam Baker is believed to have joined the Cape of Good Hope in 1941. He fell from the top deck when the ship was torpedoed and suffered a broken ankle. Due to the injury he spent some time in a hospital in the Dominican Republic before being flown to the USA. Sam had arrived there in the lifeboat that was in charge of the chief officer.Do you have additional information on this person?
