Personal information
Husband of Magna Elfrida Iversen, of Sandefjord. He had been chief engineer aboard the Norwegian whale catcher Star XIX which was captured by the German raider Pinguin in the Antarctica on 14 January 1941. A German prize crew then sailed the whale catcher towards France but were forced to scuttle the vessel when encountering HMS Scarborough off Cape Finisterre on 28 March 1941.
