Personal information
Son of James Henry Oxton, of Battersea, London. On 18 May, 1943, U-103 sighted a raft with five survivors from the Fort Concord and took the second engineer officer and the mess room boy as prisoners on board. They were landed at Lorient on 26 May and taken to the POW camp Marlag und Milag Nord.
