Personal information
Husband of Mrs. C.S. Huxley, of Liverpool. On 18 May 1943 U-103 sighted a raft with five survivors from the Fort Concord and took the Second Engineer Officer and a Mess Room Boy as prisoners on board. They were landed at Lorient on 26 May and taken to the POW camp Marlag und Milag Nord.
Charles Stanley Huxley and Gustav-Adolf Janssen, the commander of U-103, remained in contact after the war, became friends and even appeared on a local British TV show together in the early 1960s.
