Personal information
Son of Archibald Alfred Egles and Anna Weir (nee Ritter); husband of Mary Evelyn Oldfeld Weir (nee Bartlett), of Shaftesbury, Dorsetshire. Also served in the 1914-1918 War. M.A.(Oxon.) Worcester College. His Sons, Major Adrian John Anthony Weir, MC, and Flying Officer Archibald Nigel Charles Weir, DFC, also died on service. Buried in Kilcommon Erris Church of Ireland Churchyard.
