Personal information
Son of Thomas and Matty Jane Ludlow; husband of Dorothy Mabel Ludlow, of Cardiff. He was awarded the MBE and Lloyd's War Medal for his actions as chief officer of the British steam merchant Terlings after the ship was bombed and sunk by a German aircraft in the English Channel on 21 July 1940.
