Personal information

Son of Alexander and Emily Weir, of Rock Ferry, Birkenhead. His brother Clement, aged 16, was lost when the British steam passenger ship Gloucester Castle was shelled and sunk by the German raider Michel off Portuguese Angola on 15 Jul, 1942.
