Personal information
Son of Harry and Mary E. Bell, of Stalybridge, Cheshire, England. He was rescued by HMCS Minas after the sinking of Empire Sailor, but died whilst on the way to a hospital at Halifax from phosgene gas poisoning and was buried at the Halifax (Mount Olivet) Cemetery.
