Personal information
Son of George and Mary Ann Johnson, of Hull; husband of Elizabeth Agnes Johnson, of Hull. George Stanley Johnson was taken prisoner by the U-boat that sank Start Point, transferred to U-462 and brought to the POW camp Marlag und Milag Nord (POW No. 954) after being landed at St. Nazaire. He died in captivity and was buried in Becklingen.
