Personal information
Son of Vicenzo Felice Temperino and Rosaria Floccari; brother of Lena Temperino, of Ozone Park, NY. Giacinto Temperino had served as Baker First Class in the US Naval Reserve from 24 December 1917 to 30 September 1921. He was rescued after the sinking of Caribstar, but died of burns in the Sector Hospital at Fort Read, Trinidad and was buried there. In April 1948 his remains were returned to the US and buried in Long Island National Cemetery.
