Notes on event | At 07.44 hours on 25 Sep 1941 the Empire Stream (Master Stanley Herbert Evans) in station #33 of convoy HG-73 was hit by two torpedoes from U-124 and sank north-northeast of the Azores. Four crew members, two gunners and two stowaways were lost. The master, 24 crew members and two gunners were picked up by HMS Begonia (K 66) (T/Lt T.A.R. Muir, RNR) and landed at Milford Haven on 30 September. | ||
