Thomas Crosbie Crease was born 24 Jan 1906 in Kensington, London, England. He was the oldest child of Captain Thomas Evans Crease (Companion in the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) also CBE who was Naval assistant to First Sea Lord, 1914) and his wife Lottie Louisa Johnson. He married Catherine Mary Paterson in 1934.
