Career information
William Henry Shea, Jr was born on 2 April, 1913, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He was the son of Rear Admiral William Henry Shea, USCG.
William Henry Shea, Jr. received the Silver Star for actions against the Japanese forces in the Solomon Islands Area in June and July, 1943, while a Lieutenant in command of the high speed mine sweeper, USS TREVER (DD-339). He retired from the Navy as a Captain. William Henry Shea, Jr. died in Honolulu, Hawaii on 19 April, 1999.
