Career information
Born in Ashtabula Ohio Graduated from Annapolis in 1922. Masters degree in engineering from Yale 1942-45 between commands of the Gleaves and Alabama was the operations officer on the staff of the commander of the Atlantic Fleet.
Awarded the Legion of Merit while on Adm. King` staff for helping plan the invasion of North Africa.
Married to Emily Luce of Portsmouth NH both buried in Arlington National Cementary. He had 4 daughters and 22 grandchildren
