USS Queenfish (Lt.Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 1st war patrol. She was ordered to patrol south of Formosa.

31 Aug 1944 (position 21.21, 121.06)
While operating in Luzon Strait USS Queenfish (Lt.Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese tanker Chiyoda Maru (4700 GRT) in position 21°21'N, 121°06'E and torpedoed and damaged the Japanese tanker Rikke Maru (9181 GRT) in position 21°30'N, 121°19'E.

9 Sep 1944 (position 19.45, 120.56)
USS Queenfish (Lt.Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese troop transport Toyooka Maru (7097 GRT) and the Japanese merchant passenger/cargo ship Manshu Maru (3053 GRT) and torpedoed and damaged the Japanese torpedo boat Manazuru (758 tons) northwest of Babuyan, Luzon, Philippines in position 19°45'N, 120°56'E.

3 Oct 1944
USS Queenfish (Lt.Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) ended her 1st war patrol at Majuro. In late October Queenfish departed for her 2nd war patrol in the East China Sea.

8 Nov 1944 (position 31.10, 129.39)
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese cargo ship Hakko Maru (1948 GRT) and the Japanese auxiliary submarine chaser Ryusei Maru (99 GRT) off Uji Gunto in position 31°10'N, 129°39'E.

9 Nov 1944 (position 31.15, 129.10)
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese auxiliary gunboat Chojusan Maru (2131 GRT) some 50 nautical miles west of Kyushu, Japan in position 31°15'N, 129°10'E.

11 Nov 1944 (position 32.20, 128.00)
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and damaged the Japanese troop transport Miho Maru (4667 GRT) off Miike harbour in position 32°20'N, 128°00'E.

15 Nov 1944 (position 33.05, 128.38)
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese army cargo ship/aircraft transport Akitsu Maru (9186 GRT) at the southern entrance of Tsushima Strait some 60 nautical miles east of Saishu Island in position 33°05'N, 128°38'E.

29 Dec 1944
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) returned to base from her 2nd war patrol in early December. She departed again on 29 December 1944 for her 3rd war patrol. This patrol brought her to the Formosa Strait.

USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) ended her 3rd war patrol.

24 Feb 1945
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) departed from for her 4th war patrol. Once again she was ordered to patrol in the Formosa Strait.

1 Apr 1945 (position 25.25, 120.07)
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) torpedoed and sank the Japanese hospital ship Awa Maru (11249 GRT) in Formosa Straits in position 25°25'N, 120°07'E. Commander Loughlin is later relieved of his command for this mistake, and court-martialled.

12 Apr 1945
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) rescues 13 airmen some 100 miles west of Iwo Jima.

14 Apr 1945
USS Queenfish (Cdr. C.E. Loughlin) ended her 4th war patrol at Guam.
