USS Saury (Lt.Cdr. R.A. Waugh) torpedoed and damaged the Japanese merchant Asahi Maru No.11 (approx. 100 tons, heavily damaged) off the Bonin Islands in position 30°50'N, 141°56'E.

USS Saury (Lt.Cdr. R.A. Waugh) ended her 11th and final war patrol at Pearl Harbor. She is now assigned to training duties.
