HNoMS Glaisdale (Lt.Cdr. T. Horve, RNN) picks up 312 survivors from the British troop transport Ettrick, 188 survivors from the American cargo transport USS Almaack and 12 survivors from the British escort carrier HMS Avenger that were torpedoed by German U-boat U-155 about 120 nautical miles northwest of Gibraltar in position 36°13'N, 07°54'W.
