Destroyer HNoMS St Albans (I 15)

At 2345 hours, while exercising in the Pentland Firth, HNoMS St. Albans (Capt. G. Hovdenak, RNorN) rammed and sunk the auxiliary minesweeping trawler HMT Alberic. The trawler sank quickly taking 13 of her crew with her. St. Ablans sustained damage to her bow. (1)

HNoMS St. Albans picks up 20 survivors from the British merchant Empire Dew that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-48 north of the Azores in position 51°09'N, 30°16'W on 12 June 1941.
