The attack with depth charges carried out by the British destroyer HMS Keppel (Cdr. I.J. Tyson, DSC, RNR) in the Norwegian Sea north-west of Narvik, Norway, in position 69°27'N, 04°53'E, was directed against the German U-boat U-313 inflicting no damage and not responsible for the loss of the German U-boat U-713 as earlier thought.
