HMS Catterick (Lt. A. Tyson, RN) picks up 310 survivors from the British passenger ship Llandaff Castle that was torpedoed and sunk on 28 November 1942 southeast of Lourenco Marques in position 27°20'S, 33°40'E by German U-boat U-177.
