At 1833 hours she dropped a pattern of depth charges east-north-east of Ramsgate in position 51°25'N, 01°40'E.
At 1940 hours a floating mine was sighted in position 51°27'N, 01°41'E. It was attempted to explode the mine with rifle fire and then with pompom fire but this failed. The whaler was then launched and it dealth with the mine. After hoising in the whaler patrol was resumed. (2)

While returning from their fruitless sweep towards the Dutch coast, HMS Cairo (Capt. H.P.K. Oram, RN), HMS Codrington (Capt. D.J.R. Simson, RN), HMS Blanche (Lt.Cdr. R.N. Aubrey, RN), HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) and HMS Boadicea (Lt.Cdr. G.B. Kingdon, RN) provided cover for convoy FN 9 which was a large convoy on passage from Southend to Methil.
They escorted the convoy until shortly before midnight when they turned south. (2)

A submarine was reported near Margate Buoy and the destroyers HMS Keith (Cdr.(Retd.) H.T.W. Pawsey, OBE, RN), HMS Blanche (Lt.Cdr. R.N. Aubrey, RN) and HMS Gurkha (Cdr. F.R. Parham, RN) were ordered to hunt this submarine. No contact was obtained though.

The British merchant Empire Conveyor is torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-122 about 50 nautical miles south of Barra Head, Hebrides in position 56°16'N, 08°10'W. HMS Campbell (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Aubrey, RN) later picks up 38 survivors.

HMS Fowey (Lt.Cdr.(emergency) L.C.A. Leefe, RN) picks up 35 survivors from the British merchant Empire Brigade that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-99 about 100 miles east-southeast of Rockall in position 57°12'N, 10°43'W.
Fowey also picks up 36 survivors from the British merchant Shekatika that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-123 about 90 miles east-southeast of Rockall in position 57°12'N, 11°08'W.

HMS Fowey (Cdr. L.B.A. Majendie, RN (retired)) picks up 67 survivors from the British merchant Grangepark that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-263 west of Gibraltar in position 35°55'N, 10°14'W.

The British merchant Port Victor is torpedoed and sunk north-east of the Azores in position 47°49'N, 22°02'W by German U-boat U-107. HMS Wren (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Aubrey, RN) later picks up 145 survivors.

German U-boat U-449 was sunk at 1600hrs on 24 June 1943 in the North Atlantic, north-west of Cape Ortegal, Spain, in position 45°00'N, 11°59'W, by depth charges from the British sloops HMS Wren (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Aubrey, RN), HMS Woodpecker (Lt.Cdr. R.E.S. Hugonin, DSC, RN), HMS Kite (Lt.Cdr. W.F.R. Segrave, RN) and HMS Wild Goose (Lt.Cdr. D.E.G. Wemyss, RN).

On the 14th of July, the seven survivors of German U-boat U-607 were rescued by HMS Wren (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Aubrey, RN). U-607 was sunk the day before (13 July 1943) by Sunderland "N" of the British 228. Sqn and Halifax "Q" of the British 58. Sqn. (3)

German U-boat U-462 was sunk in the Bay of Biscay at position 45°33'N, 10°58'W.by a British Handley Page Halifax aircraft (Sqdn 502/S) and gunfire from the British sloops HMS Wren (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Aubrey, RN), HMS Kite (Lt.Cdr. W.F.R. Segrave, RN), HMS Woodpecker (Lt.Cdr. R.E.S. Hugonin, DSC, RN), HMS Wild Goose (Lt.Cdr. D.E.G. Wemyss, RN) and HMS Woodcock (Lt.Cdr. C. Gwinner, DSO, RN).
